10th Jan 2014 – Module Development Update: The God in the Bowl


Well I finished designing God in the Bowl in the summer with a few subsequent patches fixing bugs that players kindly reported.

I felt that the new district of Arenjun covered in this module, the Merchant District, was very light on content, especially because most of God in the Bowl takes place inside one building. So I added a new adventure as a kind of side quest which can be played in parallel, with an overriding “Gods and Goddesses” theme.

This adventure involves a little more traditional dungeoneering, with the usual Conan-esque atmosphere and intrigue.

It is now just finished and sitting on my hard drive with a strange reluctance to being uploaded. This comes from a laziness to do another round of checking for bugs, combined with apprehension over the forthright comments of players when they get stuck over said bugs…
